Recognizing the Smart Cities Network efforts to progress smart cities agenda in the region,
the Lao PDR Embassy in Singapore, organized a preliminary meeting on 28 December
2023, attended by representatives from Lao PDR Embassy and SCN. The objective is
to provide an overview and how to attract investments for Smart Cities to the Lao PDR
officials based in Vientiane. This event is the result of this initial engagement with the focus
on attracting investments to the country, specifically Vientiane and Luang Prabang as
participating cities of the ASEAN Smart Cities Network.
