On the backdrop of increased interest to Johor-Singapore economic collaboration, SCN carried out exploratory visit to Johor for potential business collaboration and investment activities in smart cities. The visit focused on engagements with two key stakeholders namely Johor Corporation via Johor Land Berhad (on the Ibrahim Technopolis, IBTEC) and Johor Bahru City Council, MBJB (on the Johor Bahru Integrated Operations and Control Centre, JBIOCC).
The key objectives of this visit are to introduce Sustenir (a food security company through urban farming) and an MBA Project Team from Georgetown University, Washington DC to IBTEC and have an idea what a Smart City should have with the visit to JBIOCC.
