Panellists from Arup, Neuron, Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Singapore International Facilities Management Association (SIFMA) explored the potential of adapting these solutions for Singapore's built environment, considering each city's unique urban landscape and regulatory framework.
* A key focus was the possibility of a joint Singapore-Hong Kong pilot project utilizing Neuron's technology and incorporating AI.
* Participants shared and discussed potential sites, project scope, funding models, and regulatory considerations, laying the groundwork for a collaborative initiative that could serve as a model for future cross-border smart city projects between Hong Kong and Singapore.
The panel addressed the integration of AI in various aspects of smart city development, such as building management, energy efficiency, and urban planning.
This inclusion of AI technologies promised to enhance the effectiveness and innovation of the proposed pilot project.
An MOU to incubate start-ups for Smart Cities was also signed between SCN and Venturous, who partnered with Arup to establish Neuron as a Joint Venture.
